Things to Do When Traveling to Orange Beach, Alabama

It features a screened picnic pavilion, a butterfly garden, plant life native to the area and numerous opportunities to spot wildlife.

Adventure Island is a fun filled family amusement center with Go-Karts, bumper cars, miniature golf, Laser Tag, paddle boats, Remote Controlled boat races and an arcade. It also includes a 5-story volcano that provides an amazing show of power and beauty. It is the only active volcano on the Gulf Coast.

The Nautical Nature Safari is an underwater wildlife adventure on a 32-foot pontoon boat. As you travel through the waterways, the boat is pulling a net to scoop up various marine life. Once the net is full, they dump the contents into a large bin on the boat so the guests have a opportunity to get up close and personal with all the ocean creatures that were captured.

Hot Air Balloon rides are available seven days a week. They only go up two times a day, once each morning right after the sun rises and three hours before the sun sets. It is a stunning ride overlooking the islands and the gulf. There is always a champagne ceremony after the ride, which makes it a fantastic experience for partners who are celebrating an anniversary or considering popping the question.

Coolum is a serene locale in Queensland’s southern coast. A fit tourist destination, it boasts of a really silent and tranquil environment.

Queensland,as a state, has witnessed tremendous growth. It has the third largest city in Australia and has a lot of other developed and busy hubs. What makes it all the more interesting is the tourist spots dotting along its coastline. A lot of resorts and beaches are here and every year, thousands and thousands of visitors from all across the globe come here to enjoy the natural and scenic beauty amidst hills, beaches, shores and others. Coolum is one of the lesser known but most beautiful locations one can even imagine. It is situated on the Sunshine Coast and is now becoming popular as a tourist town. A lot of resorts have come up adjacent to it and tourists now pick this up as their destination too.

Basically the most beautiful thing about here is the Coolum beach. A lot of development has been undertaken thus leading to boating, water-skiing, sailing etc. including underwater worlds. The Coolum beach is met by the foot of seven hundred foot high Mount Coolum which has a blunt top. It is said that the word Coolum itself originates from a native language in which the word means blunt. Aboriginal clans where the original inhabitants in this part of the coast, but as more European settlers arrived, they began to dwindle. A lot of European travelers have recorded its existence since the 1800s. As soon as settling began in earnest, timber and sugarcane became a popular business entities. Later on, the first of the settlers to permanently live here would be Bill Keene in 1905.
